Role and Responsibilities

  • An Oakwolf Associate starts on the Delivery side of our business where you’ll build a strong foundation in understanding healthcare, HCIT, and the core Oakwolf delivery methodologies.
  • After an initial 2-weeks of formalized training, the role involves reaching out to prospective HCIT/industry consultants through a variety of online resources.
  • Qualifying these consultant’s capabilities and preferences through Oakwolf’s structured qualification methodology.
  • Establishing trust and building strong working relationships with prospective consultants and other industry leading subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Collaborating with both internal and external partners to determine how best to build Oakwolf project delivery teams and capabilities.
  • Staying current on trends and developments in the healthcare industry and the needs and challenges across Oakwolf’s expanding client relationships and service offerings.

Required Skills and Experience

Associates (0-2 years of professional experience)

  • Oakwolf is looking for bright, exceptionally motivated, results-driven and coachable individuals with proven leadership abilities. Those with the interest and ability to thrive in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • These roles require excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational/time management skills and tremendous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to establish rapport with new people based on your professionalism and HCIT knowledge (don’t worry we’ll train you on everything you need to know to succeed).
  • The most successful Oakwolf Associates have the maturity and personal confidence to engage senior level consultants and subject matter experts in a peer-to-peer manner.

Although we will invest heavily in recent graduates with the attributes listed above, ideal candidates will have:

  • Prior experience as a Business Development Representative or in some other sales capacity
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of hitting KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software's and a familiarity with MS-Office
  • A Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college/university
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration or marketing may be helpful to this role.

Sr Associates (2-4 years of professional experience)

  • These key hires require all of the attributes above with additional professional experience that may or not have been in healthcare and/or a sales capacity.
  • This can include folks that may have started their career in a different industry (i.e. financial services) and are looking for an opportunity that provides a self-paced career path with much higher earnings capacity.

Opportunity Overview:

  • As a Client Engagement Manager at Oakwolf, you’ll be the driving force in delivering quality projects and cultivating lasting client relationships. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and support throughout their engagement with our firm.
  • Your primary focus will be on building strong client relationships, understanding their needs and challenges and ensuring the successful delivery of our HCIT consulting services. You will act as a liaison between our clients and our team of subject matter experts (SME’s), ensuring that client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.

Engagement Manager Role and Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and nurture long-term, trusted relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the client's business objectives, IT challenges, and unique requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance and recommendations for HCIT solutions.
  • Champion the client's perspective within the organization, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
  • Advocate for enhancements and improvements to our HCIT solutions based on client feedback. This includes identifying opportunities to develop new Oakwolf capabilities and service offerings.

Project Management:

  • Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables and budget to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
  • Collaborate with client project managers and Oakwolf’s delivery teams to ensure the successful execution of client projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, technical delivery, and leadership teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and company goals.
  • Working closely with the team of Oakwolf consultants to proactively identify and remediate potential project risks and issues.
  • Address client concerns or issues promptly and effectively, working with SMEs to find suitable solutions.
  • Conduct regular quality assessments to ensure the highest standards of service and client satisfaction.

Business Development:

  • Conduct regular meetings and discussions with clients to assess their evolving needs, challenges and pipeline of upcoming initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services based on client needs and industry trends. (i.e. Land and Expand)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in client relationship management, preferably in healthcare IT or consulting.
  • Ideally experience with the implementation and integration of Epic applications.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, challenges, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Proficiency in structured methodologies, project management tools and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel to clients between 10%-25% in any given month.
  • Bachelor's degree. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
